Once you receive the demo product, here’s a few pointers to help you in evauluating the product.
At the DOS prompt, type D:INSTALL (replacing D: with the letter of your CD drive). Then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
CREATING A SHORTCUT
In Windows Explorer, go to the ADV\PROGS folder and right-click on the ADV.EXE file. Select the Create Shortcut option, then drag the newly created shortcut icon to your desktop.
If your screens are hard to read, go to System Administrator program 2, Customize Station, and select a better station type.
ENABLING THE HELP SYSTEM
Throughout the the Roundtable Software Advantage Accounting System, you can hit the F1 key to obtain help. To activate the Help system, go to System Administrator program 13, Help Maintenance, and select the Default Company option. When prompted for the new default help company, enter AA.
USING THE HELP SYSTEM
At any point in the Roundtable Software Advantage Accounting System, you can press the F1 key to receive help on the current field. Within the Help window, you can select Options to list other available Help topics, such as Standard Keys and module overviews. The live product includes a full, printed manual as well as this online Help system.
